On Saturday 1st July 2023 in Cathedral Church of St Anne, Leeds Paul Moores was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood by Right Reverend Marcus Nigel Stock, MA, STL, Tenth Bishop of Leeds.
A Message from Fr Paul
Many people have helped me with generosity and love on my journey to the Sacred Priesthood. Profound thanks to Bishop Marcus for ordaining me today; for his inspiring words and fatherly care over the years. I am very grateful to Fr Crawley, Bishop Marcus’ Private Secretary, and diocesan Master of Ceremonies, to Canon Habron, Dean of the Cathedral, and to Fr Hilton, Assistant Priest and Master of Ceremonies, for their hard work and proficient organisation and coordination of today’s celebrations.
To my brother priests, deacons & seminarians, members of the formation teams at the Venerable English College and Pontifical Beda College, and friends and family from near and far, I’m very moved and grateful to have you with me today. Finally, to the servers, musicians, sacristans, florists, cooks, cleaners, those who have welcomed us so warmly, and to all the staff of the Cathedral, Wheeler Hall, and Cathedral House, heartfelt thanks who have helped to make today joyful.
