Bishop Marcus with this year’s Jubilarians 2022<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Annual Celebration of Priesthood – Priests from across the diocese of Leeds gathered to celebrate Mass with Bishop Marcus Nigel Stock at 11.30 am on Friday 24th June 2022 in Leeds Cathedral for the Annual Celebration of Priesthood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The preacher at the Mass was Fr Columba Jordan CFR, the Rector of St Patrick\u2019s Mission in Bradford. Fr Columba spoke about his childhood in Ireland, living in a parish dedicated to the Sacred Heart, and his training for the priesthood in New York. He took as his theme Our Lord\u2019s invitation to \u201cbe with Him\u201d and that this was especially the case with priests, who are invited to share in friendship and companionship with the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
